Attention Drivers!

Since June of 1975, Martini, Inc. has operated in accordance with the Company’s Mission Statement of providing exceptional customer service with reasonably priced local and regional dry van transportation in the area bordered by the Ohio River Valley and the Atlantic Seaboard.

The First Ten Years - (1975-1985)

The Company began in 1975 with only two tractors, two trailers. The main commodity transported by the Company was beer. 1977 two more tractors and trailers were added. 1978 six additional tractors and trailers were added – coal and beer being the major items transported.

The Second Ten Years – (1985-1995)

Over the years the fleet was expanded to its current inventory of in excess of 75 Company owned tractors and 260 trailers. The tractors are both sleeper and day-cabs and the trailer fleet has been mostly converted to 53’ vans. Many of the Company’s current customers have been with us from the beginning, a fact we at Martini take great pride in and are extremely pleased about. The Company also formed a brokerage division.

The Third Ten Years – (1995 -2005)

The Company is also affiliated with over 6 owner operators. The most senior of our Owner/Operators joined the Company in August of 1999. Currently the Company has 76 trucks and in excess 261 trailers.

The Company has upgraded the administration and operations side of the Company by incorporating current technology into the daily function of the company. Tractors are equipped with ECM sensors and interfaces that allow the in-house service department to monitor and maintain the fleet. Company tractors and trailers are all equipped with Qualcomm satellite units, which along with the PC based TMW Suite software facilitates the monitoring, dispatching and controlling of the flow of our client’s cargo. This technology is also made available to our Owner/Operators.

All Company drivers are included in Martini, Inc.’s benefit programs, including Company subsidized premiums on health care insurance, 401K Retirement Program, Company paid life insurance policy and annual paid vacations and holidays.

The Company is equally proud of its talented and experienced support staff including accounting, payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable, safety, recruiting, operations and dispatch.

Our in-house service department is capable of handling all preventive maintenance functions as well as major equipment repairs and overhauls and warranty work. The current head of the service department has been with the Company since its inception.

The Company, as it has been from the beginning, is still owned and operated by Jack and Roxann Martini. Their commitment to the Company mission and their employees is evident in the fact that the Company has flourished under their guidance.

Charlie Hissick was named 2007 Martini Driver of the Year.  The election of Charlie was announced by President Jack Martini at the Driver’s Safety Meeting held February 23. Charlie has been with Martini, Inc since April 2004.

Dwight Phoenix has been selected as Driver of the Month for November by the Pennsylvania Motor Truck Association and is in the running for Driver of the Year, which will be announced at the December 6, 2007 awards luncheon.
